Working In NZ

We’re glad you’re making the move to New Zealand!

We appreciate that moving to another part of the world is a big decision and we are here to make your transition into the Kiwi workforce as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

New Zealand has an advanced healthcare system with many pathways for internationally trained healthcare and aged care workers to gain registration and employment. We have in-depth knowledge of these processes, and have been placing successful international candidates for years.

We take the time to get to know you over the phone or Skype before you arrive, and follow our usual extensive recruitment process to ensure we find the best fit for you. There is no cost to the candidate for our services.
International nurses are required to complete a CAP (Competency Assessment Programme) to be eligible for nursing roles in New Zealand. We are proud to work with the Wesley Institute of Learning, which offers one of the highest-quality training opportunities in the country. Wesley courses are available in Auckland and Hawkes Bay throughout the year, and you are able to consult us for advice and support at any time while you complete your training.

We will work to find you an enjoyable role and help you assimilate into the Kiwi way of life. We can give advice on locations and we have connections nationwide, so you will be spoilt for choice. Whether you are considering a permanent move or a working holiday, we have a huge variety of roles on offer, providing many rewarding professional and personal benefits. We can’t wait to help you embark on your New Zealand adventure!

What Clients Say

I first was introduced to Medcall back in 2005 when a bubbly (then) Shirley Reynolds came bouncing into my office with a basket of goodies (nothing changed there!). For 14 years, I have been involved with Medcall, the comradery that I have built up with Shirley, Claudia and the team has ensured that Medcall understood our care home needs, to place the right Carestaff and Registered Nurses into our Carehome. I have also had the privilege of hiring numerous Medcall staff–having them work with the team and residents was a wonderful opportunity to see how that staff member could fit in with our culture. As we see our bureau staff as part of our team, we offer Medcall staff to attend our site trainings and these have always been taken up e.g. manual handling After 18 years in the Aged Care Sector, I honestly can say the team at Medcall are "People who care”
Sharon Owen - Somervale - Care Manager
I feel blessed that we can have your candidate here - she is such a nice person to work with and fits into the team very well. Having a good RN is so important for the business. Thank you again for your great work Katerina.
YY - - Dementia Rest Home
We recently worked with Katerina on a management role; it was a refreshing change! She impressed as personable, professional and easy to work with, understanding our needs and ways of working rather than a “one size fits all’. Throughout she kept us up to date, provided quality candidates and within a week we had made the offer! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Katerina to get the job done to high standards. She was a pleasure to work with.
Susan Carter - HR Business Partner - Ultimate Care Group
Andi at Medcall went out of her way to really understand our organisational values and requirements for the role we wished to fill. The team at Medcall were proactive in their approach and very responsive to our needs. They found us a great Manager and continued to check in with both she and I to ensure that the appointment was working as planned. I would use Medcall again if the need arose.
Karen Rhind - Manager - Community Action
I am very grateful for all your assistance. It's been great having Medcall on board with our recruitment project, much appreciated and thanks again.
