The role:

  • Lead and manage the team of care staff who provide clinical care and support services into residents’ homes in the village
  • Be part of the senior management team on site
  • Provide support, advice and mentoring to your teams
  • Be the clinical point of reference and aged care best practice for your staff
  • Build strong relationships with your residents, their families and loved ones
  • Be the primary contact for external agencies and providers
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards are maintained and exceeded
  • Clinical risk management
  • Financial accountability

 

You need:

  • New Zealand nursing registration and current APC
  • Previous experience managing staff in healthcare (preferably aged care)
    Knowledge of the aged care sector
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Solid IT skills (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • The ability to relate well at all levels & build great relationships!
  • Energy, flexibility and a passion for what you do.
