Perm Space Page v2

We have our ‘finger on the pulse’ (yes, bad pun) of the heatlhcare workforce and health careers – through our years of loving the industry, through our industry surveys and the fact that we have a social media strategy, and aren’t afraid to use it!

One of our clients once said he felt like a ‘letter box’ for CV’s from some agencies (not us I might add) – and we thought this really sucked. We dont care how many CV’s or jobs we have – we just get on with our job which is knowing our clients & candidates – and we mean really know them – so that we can achieve the best match.

If you checked out our collective perm team’s CV here – you will find staff who have been business owners (so oodles of commercial competence), a nurse and consultants who have had lots of success finding clinical leader jobs, healthcare management jobs and senior health jobs. We’re human too – we have mates, partners, husbands, kids, mortgages, worries, charm, wit, stress, openess and honesty! Why not give us a call to have a chat about options in the healthcare management job sector – we would be happy to share our knowledge and help!

My Auckland Mixed Bag Ed Experience

Accident and Emergency Sign

Another 2 months has passed by since my blog about the changing role of nurses (as I see it) over the past 10 years or so.  Sadly since I last blogged two of my four children have had a wee stint in ED – (don’t ask!!).  I had 2 vastly different experiences as a parent/step parent both those times which did little to dispel my questions about what it is like to be a nurse ‘today’.

Wonder Women Nursing!

wonder woman nurse

I have returned to work after 10 days off.  10 days of couriering my children to their social events and trying to live vicariously through their fun without making it obvious.  I am only kidding, I don’t want to run around trying to get to every party happening, whilst constantly readjusting my clothes/make up and hair.  I want to have fun and try things that make me giggle or make me nervous – but not all the time!! “I just had an emotional phone call from Catherine who is the sister of our home care client who recently passed. Catherine wanted to pass on her gratitude to all of our Medcall team who looked after her sister.  She said they were all wonderful, caring ladies who she would like to have care for her when it’s her time! Their home wasn’t in the best shape but when Catherine came down to visit, the house was immaculate with things like flowers hand pick from the garden & every room was spick n span!  Her sister was cared for beautifully and they feel so grateful that we were part of the end of her life.”  Claudia Hamilton takes a call from one of our homecare clients family members – Bay of Plenty.

Wonderful, caring ladies!
